Background:

Psalms 104:19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

In Genesis 1:14, the establishment of the lunar framework for years and seasons was established at creation, as the moon was the light that determined the length of the month (29.5 days (1 lunar month) x 12 = 354 days (a lunar year). Although the months were called by numbers (10th month for example in Genesis 8:5) it would still correspond to the equivalent month Tammuz since seed time (also established at creation, Genesis 8:22) and a new season always occurred in the same 1st month, which is equivalent to Jewish month Tishri, see Exodus 23:16 .

Important Note:

The same Hebrew word "chodesh" from one new moon to another new moon [29.5 days] in Isaiah 66:23 is used in Genesis 8:5 translated as month.

Genesis 8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month [2320 chodesh], on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon [2320 chodesh] to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

(29.53059 lunar month) x 5 = 147.65295 rounded to nearest day is equal to 148 days

The Bible defines the division of days for early rain, latter rain, and a final season of summer to the feast of Ingathering with 5 months or 148 days or 296 days divided by two (Zech. 14:8). Both, physical Judah and the physical organized Churches were typified as having no latter rain.* The rule of Satan for a failed summer (no latter rain) to the feast of Ingahtering harvest, and total latter rain days are also associated with 5 months in Revelation 9:5,

• a duration of 5 months is identified with a period in which Satan rules completely over the physical organized churches
• Satan reigns over the Unsealed in Revelation 9:4 to the End of the world.
• Satan's reign of 5 months is identified with the unrighteous seeking to be killed but not being able to find death, Revelation 9:6.

Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

Revelation 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months [3376. 67.174 men, mane]: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he stricter a man.

Revelation 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and

death shall flee from them.

2 Previous Biblical Examples of Great Tribulation occurred in the normal true believers' physical dwelling places (Chanaan and Judah) in which the true believers brought in a spiritual harvest outside their normal physical dwelling places. These 2 Previous Biblical Examples

Great Tribulation - Land of Chanaan

 

The year 1873 (rain season-seedtime) / 1872 (harvest time) BC is the first harvest year following the end of the 7 year famine during Jacob’s Day. There are 12 years from the return of Harvest in physical Egypt in 1872 BC to the Death of Jacob in 1860 BC. There are 3872 years (88 (3 months) x 4 (4 months) x 11 (final hour of harvest) between the years 1873/1872 BC and 2000/2001 AD. The year 2000/2001 (Start of Day) AD is 12 years from 2012 AD. 12 has multiples of 3 [purpose and 4 [4 months is identified with the final harvest from summer to ingathering]. The Bible defines the division of days for early rain, latter rain, and a final season of summer to the feast of Ingathering (Zech. 14:8) with 148 days or 5 months (Rev 9-5). A 12-year period has 148 lunar months. 

Great Tribulation - Land of Judah

 

The year 587/586 BC is the first harvest year following the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in the summer of 587 BC. There are 48 years 587 BC to 539 BC. 48 is a multiple of 3 [purpose] x 16 [there are 16 weeks from summer to the feast of ingathering] or 4 X 4 [4 months is identified with the final harvest from summer to ingathering]. The Bible defines the division of days for early rain, latter rain, and a final season of summer to the feast of Ingathering with 5 months or 148 days or 296 days divided by two (Zech. 14:8). A 48-year period is also unique because there are 592 (lunar months) during that span of time. 592 has factors of 148 and 4.

Both Examples of Great Tribulation share a relationship to 5 months associated with the reign of Satan in the physical organized churches (the absence of latter rain) and the final harvest brought apart or without the physical organized churches.

1. In the case Jacob and his family their earthly spiritual abode was the land of Chanaan, yet Jacob and his family brought in a type of Final Harvest in Physical Egypt.
2. Those carried away captive during the destruction of Judah by the Babylonians were considered Good Figs, and their earthly spiritual abode was in Judah (Where the Temple was). Yet, their Temple was destroyed and they bring in a type of Final Harvest not in Judah, but in physical Babylon.
3. During the Great Tribulation of our day, the physical organized churches has no Final harvest because the 5 months (2 months owed to latter rain and 3 months owed to harvest time) are under the reign of Satan in the physical organized churches. Thus, the Final Harvest owed to latter rain 1997- 2012 [15 years = 5 months as years * x 3 (established by God)] occurs a part from or outside the physical organized churches.

*A month [The Hebrew word "chodesh" is used in reference to the words "new moon" in the KJV OT The verses in 2 Kings 4:23 and Ezekiel 46:6 reference the words "new moon" in association with the word [day.] Days as Years- - Numbers 14:34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

The falling away of the unrepentant physical organized churches is a determinative factor for the timing of Christ's Return.

2Thessalonians 2:1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

The condition of unrepentant physical organized churches are keyed to the timing of Great Tribulation:

Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. Revelation 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

(Unsealed ) Unrighteous given strong delusion to believe a lie.

2Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.
2Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Thessalonians 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2Thessalonians 2:13 ¶ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Physical organized Church typified where Satan reigns (Satan's Seat) during Great Tribulation:

Revelation 2:12 ¦ And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

We see in Rev. 9-4 that the true believers on "Earth" are sealed "green grass ," and protected by God from being hurt by Satan's Kingdom. Note: that the Bible defines all men as grass in 1Peter 1:24, but sealed "green grass" is spiritually protected from the many false gospels prevalent in physical churches during this time of Great Tribulation.

Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

 

Sealed true believers given protection by God from Satan's Kingdom:
 

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

1Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

1Peter 3:13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

The true believer, however, during this time of Tribulation are killed (saved and driven out of the physical organized churches) specifically by those who remain in these churches (army of the horsemen, Revelation 9:16) during this time of the Final Tribulation.

Revelation 9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand[3461 murias] thousand [3461 murias]: and I heard the number of them.
Revelation 9:17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

Revelation 9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

Note: 3461 murias, moo-ree´-as; from 3463; a ten-thousand; by extension, a “myriad” or indefinite number:—ten thousand. Murias, is translated 100,000 x 1,000 or 100,000,000 which is 1-tenth of 1 billion. The tenth represents the total or all (Hebrews 7:2) the number which here would be 1 billion times 2, or 2 billion. In 2000/2001 AD, the world's population reached 6 billion of which one-third [33%] of the World's Population or 2 billion is associated with the Christian Religion.

We see that the spiritual death of the true believers body of sin is the indication that salvation has occurred.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

The physical organized churches is typified as the synagogue of Satan during the Great Tribulation:

Revelation 2:8 ¦ And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

True believers put out of the synagogues are typified as being killed:

John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

A relationship of Summer to Feast of Ingathering exist between the time Hezikiah was told he would die in his 14th year of his reign (Hezikiah actually dies 15 years later) and 1997 AD, which is also 15 years from 2012.

A 15 year period is also unique because there are 185 (lunar months) during that span of time. 185 (has factors of 37 and 5). The numbers 37 and 5 are integrally related to periods that typified the end of Great Tribulation, see previous study link.

(15/3) = 5 (extra lunar months added for each third year to keep aligned with solar year)

180 + 5 = 185 (lunar months) for 1997 -2012

Important Notes:

Summer to the Feast of Ingathering (118 days or 4 month) is the only season that requires early and latter rain. The receiving of the early and latter consummates the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

The final season is integral to the last 4 month of Harvest time (Summer to Feast of Ingathering)

John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

The final season of summer to ingathering and its associated rain season (latter rain) is separated by a period of three months

Amos 4:7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

The days owed to early rain (effects the 1st month of Summer Harvest.) and the total days for the first month of Summer are equal to 148 days. The days owed to latter rain (effects the 2nd month of Summer to Feast of Ingathering) and the total days for the last 3 months of the harvest season are also equal to 148 days.

Zechariah 14:8 ¦ And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

The Lord stirred Haggai in the 2nd year of Darius (520 BC) to compel those who were in Judah to complete the work of finishing the 2nd Temple.

Haggai 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
Haggai 1:2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’S house should be built.
Haggai 1:3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
Haggai 1:4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
Haggai 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

From the time the Lord stirred Haggai in the 2nd year of Darius in 520 BC to complete the 2nd Temple to its completion in 515 BC shares an integral relationship with 148 days or 5 months with the years 1997 AD to the year 2012 AD.
