The book of James exhorts the believer for patience in waiting for the return of the Lord Jesus. We are given a picture of Christ coming being completed based on the completion of the Early Rain (Pentecost) and Latter Rain (Ingathering) Harvest.

 

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

 

Note: In James 5:7 God equates the rain season with the harvest season

A delay in completion of the Latter Rain (Ingathering) final harvest is typified as a 3 and 1/2 year period starting with the absence of the Latter Rain [Harvest]. The Latter Rain in Adar is necessary to bring in the crops of the Latter Rain Harvest (Ingathering).

 

James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

James 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit

 

Coming Latter Rain Harvest Summer 1996 (4 month to Harvest) typified in Hosea 6:2 revived after 2 years, latter rain received in Adar 1997 (the third day/year, Hosea 6:2 ).

 

Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

Note: The 1994 Pentecost Harvest could occur without the need for latter rain. God can seek latter rain fruit before it actual season 1987 - 1994, Mark 11:13 .

Mark 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

However, the latter rain harvest did not become due until 1994 [after the Pentecost Harvest was completed].
