Start of the Famine in Jacob's Day. Jacob was in Cannon during the first 2 years of the famine ( no Crops being produced, because no rain) afterwards he spent the last 17 years of his life in physical Egypt (no believers left in Cannon ).

Acts 7:11 Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

Judah (Jerusalem) besieged and conquered by Babylonian. A physical Famine existed in Jerusalem (besieged city) and a Spiritual Famine also existed (True Believers did not dwell in Judah) for (46 years) The Medes under Cyrus who conquered Babylon in 539 BC permitted the Jews to return to Jerusalem

3 and 1/2 years of famine in the organized church - no possibility of fruit ever being borne in the physical organized church after Tishri 1997.

Spiritual Picture

Rain failed for 2 years is a picture of the two years of no additional harvesting of souls occurring in the physical organized churches starting with the Final Tribulation period in 1994. Substance (Wheat) salvation of people comes from outside of the physical organized churches during the famine, just as wheat came from outside of Jacob’s type of church ((Canaan) during his great Tribulation period.

Satan besieges the physical organized church during the Final Tribulation period as a result famine of hearing the word of God occurs, see Amos 8:11.
