914 -911 BC Abijah

62 AD Paul in Rome for 2 years

2012 AD

The son of Rehoboam, whom he succeeded on the throne of Judah (1 Chr. 3:10). He is also called Abijam (1 Kings 14:31; 15:1-8). He began his three years’ reign (2 Chr. 12:16; 13:1, 2) with a strenuous but unsuccessful effort to bring back the ten tribes to their allegiance. His address to “Jeroboam and all Israel,” before encountering them in battle, is worthy of being specially noticed (2 Chr. 13:5-12). It was a very bloody battle, no fewer than 500,000 of the army of Israel having perished on the field.

Paul in Rome: Paul remained under house arrest in Rome for two years. He used his time to teach and preach of Christ (Acts 28:30-31).

The super fullness of God's Final Judgment (for unbeliever) and Final Salvation (for true believer)

Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, ,

Acts 28:31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Spiritual Picture

Israel (10 tribes) were in rebellion. During Abijah reigned 500,000 of the Israelites were killed. During the Final tribulation the physical organized church is in rebellion against God. The true believers are killed by being taken out of the physical churches, while the unsaved who stay in the physical churches will be slain (judged by God on the Final Day}.

Believers during the Final Tribulation are pictured as being cast into prison as they bring the message of the saving gospel outside of the physical organized churches.
