Jacob was 130 years when he arrived in Egypt in the year 1877/1876 BC. Jacob’s life ended on earth in 1860 BC, which is 17 years. The ending of Jacob’s life on Earth typified the end of the world as all the true believers go to heaven to be with the Lord forever at the End of the world.
The children of Israel left Egypt during the Passover Season the month of Nisan in the year 1447/1446 BC.
Exodus 12:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, Exodus 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Exodus 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: Exodus 12:4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: Exodus 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
Death bypassed the household of the children of Israel (who typified the true believers) due to the Passover (The Lord Jesus - blood at the doorpost).
Exodus 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. Exodus 12:16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. Exodus 12:17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. Exodus 12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
The Bible defines a religious year as a spring to spring year from the month of Nisan (March/April) to the following Nisan (March/April).
Exodus 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Thus, there would always be an overlap of two Gregorian years since our years are January 1 to December 31. For example, the 13,023rd year would consist of both Gregorian years 2011 AD (beginning of the 13,023 year) and 2012 AD (end of the 13,023 year). 1877 (beginning ) BC Nisan + 430 years would take us to the beginning Nisan 1447 (but the end of 430th year would take us to Nisan (end) 1446 BC, since the 430th year has 12 months) or the end of 430th years is the beginning of the 431st year
Exodus 12:41 And it came to pass at the end [7093. - qets, kates] of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.
The children of Israel entered Canaan during the Passover Season in the year 1407/1406 BC.
Joshua 5:9 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day. Joshua 5:10 And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho. Joshua 5:11 And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day. Joshua 5:12 And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
From 1406 BC to the year 2012 AD = 3,417 years. The factors of 3,417 are 3, 17 and 67:
The number 3 is identified with purpose or established by God:
Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. The number 17 is identified with Heaven:
A spiritual purchase of Land in Israel by Jeremiah for 17 shekels typified the acquisition of the eternal Kingdom or Heaven : Jer. 32:9 And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
The number 67 explained:
Key verse
Neh. 7:72 And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments.
Nehemiah Chapter 7-8 Outline
II. Reformation of the Post-exilic Community (7:4-13:31) A. List of the Returning Exiles (7:4-73) B. Renewal of the Covenant (8:1-10:39) 1. Ezra Reads the Law (8:1-18)
True believers are typified as priest:
1Pet.er 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Garments typify a covering. Our sins are covered by the Lord Jesus Christ:
Rev. 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
Sixty-seven (67) priestly garments given to the priest upon the return of the captive from Babylon back to Jerusalem.
Nehemiah 7:6 These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city; Neh. 7:72 And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments. Nehemiah 8:4 And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam. Nehemiah 8:5 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: Nehemiah 8:6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground. Nehemiah 8:7 Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.
The 67 priestly garments associated with the return of the captives of Babylon to Jerusalem and renewal of the covenant (Second Temple Rebuilt and the wall completed) is identified with the Feast of Ingathering (Booths or Tabernacle). The Feast of Ingathering is identified with the Last Day, see discussion below.
Nehemiah 8:8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. Nehemiah 8:9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:11 So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved. Nehemiah 8:12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them. Nehemiah 8:13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law. Nehemiah 8:14 And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month: Nehemiah 8:15 And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written. Nehemiah 8:16 So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim. Nehemiah 8:17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
The Feast of Ingathering is identified with the Last Day
God's work is completed on the Last Day (Feast of Ingathering) when all to be saved is saved.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
God likens the believer as fruits and grains that is saved (harvested) up to the last day and God is the Husbandman (a farm owner). James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Fall is always in September, and the Feast of Ingathering (End of Harvest) is always either in September/October or the Jewish month Tishri. A Fall (September/October) to Fall year is the only year that spiritually typifies the beginning and end of a harvest year.
Exodus 23:16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sownin the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field. Leviticus 23:34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.
The last day of God's work is associated with the last day of harvest (The four months could only be from summer to the Feast of Ingathering).
John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. Amos 4:7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
Harvest is finished within the 1st month of an agriculture year. The end of Babylon on October 10, 539 BC (Feast of Ingathering) is identified with the completion of summer harvest: Year Tishri (Oct.) 2012 AD to the Year of Babylon Destruction in Tishri 539 (Oct.) BC is EXACTLY 2,550 Years. The number 2,550 includes factors: [2 (Sending the Gospel) X 3 (Purpose) X 5X5 (Salvation - 25 weeks typifies the completion of a harvest season there are 25 weeks of rain and 25 weeks of harvest) X 17 (Jacob goes to Heaven)] Children of Israel who obeyed God's command to leave Judah were typified as producing a spiritual end time summer harvest (typified as a latter rain harvest) outside Judah. (Logically this harvest would end with the destruction of Babylon).
Jeremiah 29:28 For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
We also se the Final Judgment of Babylon (Flood) was destroyed October 10, 539 BC (Feast of Ingathering). Babylon was destroyed in 539 BC (October 10-Feast of Ingathering) in the 1st month September/October, so if we extrapolate back from the end to beginning of 70 weeks (years) we get 609 BC 1st month September/ October as the beginning of the 70 weeks . Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Jeremiah 25:12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
The end of the Flood during Noah Day is identified with the completion of summer harvest: The end of the flood in Tishri 4989 BC is also identified with the 1st month and 1st day (1st day italicized) as this also could only relate to the feast of Ingathering. 4989 BC + 2011 years takes us to 2012 AD or 7000 years from the End of Flood. The End of the Flood typified a completion of the Final Harvest of Olives attributable to Latter Rain (period of 88 days or 3 months to the Final Harvest).
Olives Trees are typified as a picture of the true believers.
Psalms 52:8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. Revelation 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
The New Year was defined as beginning on the end of the 15th Day of the 1st Agriculture month (Tishri) Exodus 23:16: Tammuz *1 thru Tishri 1 (88 days) or Tammuz 14 thru Tishri 15/16 (88 days):
Genesis 8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen Genesis 8:6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: Genesis 8:7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. Genesis 8:8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; Genesis 8:9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. Genesis 8:10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; Genesis 8:11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.. Genesis 8:12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more. Genesis 8:13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry
We know clearly from the scripture, the flood typified the final season of harvest (specifically the last 3 months or 88 days), which typified a new earth at the end of that 6023rd year (final harvest) which is the same as the beginning of 6024th year), see Genesis 8:5-13, where plant life (olives) mature and are suitable for the dove to sustain life (provide fruit) outside the ark prior to the end of the flood. In addition, from nature we know the Olive tree ripens in the month of Av (July to August - Genesis 8-11) providing further proof that the 1st month could only coincide with the Fall Harvest. The Month typifying the end of the Flood Final Judgment upon the kingdom of Satan as a new Heaven and New earth follows the end of Olive Harvest that occurred during the 3 month
